No Spitzenkanditat elected

Imagine VisionThe head of states of the still 28 Member States could not converge on a Spitzenkandidatin or candidate, hence they pulled an unknown person out the hat. Much to the surprise of the public and the European Parliament. Lesson to be learned. Do not bother to campaign, you don’t get nominated anyway. This cannot be a democratic procedure worthy for Europe. More democracy is dearly needed to avoid further alienation of European citizens.
